Unbearable heat has made us thirsty.
We've been searching for relief's mercy.
Fire-slapping sun a blistering 105°F in the day.
Nights suffocating 86°F, tropical humidity's way.
Who am I to complain?
When wars, when famines, when killings....
I can't even imagine their daily pain.
So many in this world not able anymore to dance in the rain.
Cool air finally rushes at me as I step into early morning in haste.
48 hours ago our fifth heat wave laid wilted waste.
Jarring how quick and extreme things can reverse.
At utter whim of what the adverse does disperse.
Knowing the dire effects of negatives.
I choose to search daily for positives.
