patience
you say:
“it's over
because it doesn't work”.
and to me that sounds like:
it's over
because it is not easy.
i don't want it anymore
because it is not fun.
i don't want you anymore
because you're asking for too much.
but all i ever asked you for is
patience…
do you really believe everything that is meant for you
will be served to you on a silver plate?
do you really think it isn't right
just because it isn't easy?
what if some things are worth fighting for?
what if it's naive to trust in life to always give you what you deserve
without asking for anything in return?
don't you know what you are missing
-and it's not just about us-
but don't you know what you are missing if you
lose interest so quickly?
i wonder if you know, but people aren't toys,
they aren't there to distract or entertain you, no,
people aren't empty plastic figures whose surface
says everything that can be said about them.
a human being
is an ocean.
it has depth.
it lives in constant movement,
and every time you swim in it,
you will discover something new.
it can't be put into one word.
it can never be known completely.
sometimes a person's beauty isn't visible at first sight.
sometimes a person's most precious places are hidden deep inside them,
unreachable for most people, even themselves,
and it should be our greatest honour
to be the one who gets to see them.
so don't say it doesn't work because it isn't easy.
how do you know it doesn't work if you never really tried?
if it's true, it's never easy,
and that's what makes it so beautiful.
sometimes, beauty lives in complexity.
you are missing the best part
if everything that doesn't give you an adrenaline rush within five seconds
is worthless to you.
