Have you ever heard a stone preach?
Even it has something to teach
Gather the sun's rays to light soul
Keep the warmth going, is your goal
So what to do when it gets cold?
That's a different lesson, called bold
Difficulties make you stronger
Help you to endure longer
Maintain your willpower
Don't give in to fear or cower
There are positive ways
Good choices in all your days
Stand your ground: determination
Eye-opening revelation
A stone is a stone, is a stone
Destined to stay, roll, maybe roam
Flat ones skip over river tops
Tossed round stones make lyrical plops
Happy as can be to be free
I've seen some the color of tea
Resting content in a creek bed
Have you heard what they have said?
The waters caress soothes
And in time it shapes and smoothes
Jagged rock builds mountains and cliffs
Some remain silent during tiffs
Let the moments come to a calm
Give them space to unfold like dawn
Listening to a stones lonely song
Years collected of right and wrong
Change is inevitable
Certain things inexplicable
There were many storms weathered
Burdens that have weighed and tethered
Whether together or alone
We've grown an extra backbone
Diverse environments have shown
Weaknesses and strengths that are prone
Revealed truths we had not known
Give ear to the Psalms of a Stone
