The Bridge
Sun sets behind the bridge
And with it another day
Loses itself in a colourful sky
All one day
Of smiles and tears and hugs
Comes to an end
Ducks say Good Night
On the nearby river
That I have walked along since I can think
Biking in summer
Cold hands in autumn
Looking for snow in winter
Greeting the first sunlight and flowers in spring
Now I am standing still
Staring eastward
Ashamed of enjoying life ...
Sun has set behind the bridge
If only there always was a bridge
To connect what is separate
Pacify what rages
