Hand in hand along the ocean shore.
Yesterday promised tomorrow so much more.
Gone without a trace.
I yearn to see your face.
Glow golden-bronzed joy in the papaya fleshed sunset.
Palms lazily rustling, coconut kisses as accent.
Waves lapping at our feet while gulls screech.
The rise and retreat of tide's reach.
How you were able to gently teach.
Letting my wings grow, encouraging to try.
And boy, did I learn how to soar and fly!
To be confidently me, yet touch the sky.
Pull the sun, stars, and moon
into my heart's room.
And forever live every day
in the blissful rapture of June.
